These trends have opened tremendous opportunities for commercial fleets to reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve safety and compliance, but it has become increasingly difficult for fleets to discover and choose the right solutions from thousands of providers across dozens of categories, and then integrate fleet data with those solutions.

We believe that the conditions have ripened for transforming the fragmented $1T fleet services market into an integrated ecosystem. We have built the Roadz data-enabled fleet services marketplace platform to help fleet managers find, buy, and use the right solutions, and easily integrate fleet data required by those solutions.

The Role: 

Roadz is looking for a Head of Marketing to define and implement our marketing and growth programs – both promoting our products in the market and supporting our customers and partners in driving growth through our marketplace platform. You will be able to roll up your sleeves to get started and will have the resources to help you execute on the strategy you develop through agency and contract support and, in time, by building the right team. You will work directly with our Founders and take full ownership of our online presence and customer acquisition and development programs. 

The position will report to Roadz CEO.

What You’ll Do:

Create and own the go-to-market strategy for the Roadz brand, new product offerings, and new partnerships. You will set clear objectives and goals, research and define target audiences, develop marketing and communication strategies, and measure adoption. You will drive the evolution of our brand positioning, bringing it to life in a clear and consistent way that resonates with and motivates our target audiences. You will promote the company as an innovator to the press and public and oversee outbound customer-facing communications across our website, blog, and social channels. And, you’ll attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows, developing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and provide post-event reports and analysis. 

You’ll be expected to:

  • Create a marketing strategy and plan
  • Design, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns in line with the plan & determine and implement metrics to measure campaign effectiveness
  • Build brand awareness and generate innovative ideas to promote the brand/product
  • Create content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments across all channels (online/offline/social)
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material)
  • Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR, and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press, etc.)
  • Design branding, positioning, and pricing strategies in collaboration with senior leadership and our advisory team
  • Select and manage agency and vendor relationships
  • Identify talent needs; hire and manage a high-performing integrated marketing team
  • Ensure effective coordination with other teams
  • Set, manage, and report on the marketing budget
  • Keep track of and align the team around market trends and competitor strategies
  • Set, monitor, and report on all marketing and campaign goals

Who You Are:

You are a self-starter, organized and self-motivated with the ability to define goals and prioritize your work. You have strong analytical and writing skills. You are comfortable with data and analytics, and you can clearly communicate your results and ideas. You have demonstrable experience developing and executing go-to-market plans for SaaS platforms, including targeted paid advertising, online and offline events, and content marketing (white papers, case studies, blogs, and more). To be successful, you should be: 

  • Experienced in marketing B2B marketplaces and working with partner ecosystems
  • A strategic thinker & problem solver with the ability to be hands-on
  • Knowledgeable across marketing, including brand marketing, PR, content management, digital marketing & performance marketing
  • Experienced in driving customer/market research and analysis
  • Collaborative and are at your best when you’re part of a team
  • Flexible; we’re a young start-up and you’ll be working on lots of fun things – sometimes outside your expected scope
  • Keen to roll your sleeves up, get involved, and help us build a successful company and attractive culture 
  • Skilled in written & verbal communication and comfortable dealing with the media
  • Comfortable with web analytics, Google Adwords, HTML, content management systems, design software, CRM software, and marketing automation tools
  • A strong leader with the ability to set and prioritize goals
  • Possess a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business. MBA a plus.
